Week 5 (the one I need for this week)

Decision of Uncertainty Paper

In this assignment, you select a process within an organization—manufacturing, technological, or management process—that requires a decision to be made. For example, a company may be trying to decipher which manufacturing process is most effective for their company, therefore creating a decision of uncertainty. See Appendix B for examples of this. You may select one of the Memos from Appendix B, in conjunction with the Riordan Manufacturing Virtual Organization, to complete this assignment. You may also research an organization of your choice; refer to Appendix B for ideas. You are not required to research or create raw data. For more information about assignment requirements, see the information below. Read the Week Five Student Road Map for an example scenario that may help you complete this assignment.

Resources: Appendix B, Riordan Manufacturing Virtual Organization, and the Week Five Student Road Map Write a paper of no more than 1,050 words that accomplishes the following:

Describe the process.

+Explain the problem and the uncertainty that is presented within the process.

+Explain what research you would conduct to make an accurate decision based on your specific problem.

+Explain how you would analyze your data, including which probability concept you would use.
