• Explain Community Policing and identify the models from your text.
• Information technology today is incredibly more data and information driven. Explain with examples from your text what this means in the context of policing.
• Define COMPSTAT. What is its origin, and how do the New York and Los Angeles Police Departments implement the program and evaluate its performance?

Assignments are formal, written assignments that are designed to help you expand on an important concept(s) for that week. Your answers to the assignment questions should be thoroughly explained in paragraph form. Your answers should cover the particulars of the question and include an example of your understanding of the question in general.  Formal writing means using proper English, including grammatical, mechanics, and spelling rules.  All references must be cited using in-text citations, and/or a bibliography resources list. All answers must be combined into one document (Microsoft Word preferred) that is a minimum of two pages.

The paper must be prepared in MS Word, double-spaced and be properly cited and referenced in APA format. The paper must include a title page, reference page, and a minimum of 2 full double-spaced pages of meaningful discussion (title page and reference page do not count as part of the 2pages of meaningful discussion). You are expected to write professionally with correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Your work should be double-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman font, with 1-inch margins all around. When citing resources, you must adhere strictly to APA style

All assignments must be your own original work and you are not allowed to turn in papers for this course that you have used previously for another course (even if it is from taking this very course during a previous session).  There will be absolutely no plagiarism!!!
