Project 1: Interview (3-5 pages)
Interviewees:
Representative of a victim service organization (can include a victim advocate or case manager);
Prosecutor,
Law Enforcement;
Judicial Officer; or
Someone who has/had an impact on the victim experience following victimization (Subject to prior Instructor approval)
Following your interview, write a narrative paper that explains your assessment of the person’s work and perspective/knowledge of victims’ rights. Include analysis on where services are victim centered or could be improved. A large part of this project is for you to see what service providers and system players do on a day to day basis and analyze how that impacts their perception of victims and/or changes their interactions with victims. Be sure you include citations to class topics you have read and discussed throughout the course thus far.

Your final narrative that you turn in for this project (3-5 pages) should use the answers to these questions as the starting point for your analysis as to how victim centered the services being offered are and where there is room for improvement (if at all). Think about your own personal biases when making this analysis—did they change at all?
