The Final Project is based upon the requirement that you locate a community forum where a policy change is being suggested. This can include a public meeting of various groups such as the American Cancer Society, a meeting of the state nursing board, legislative hearings, etc.

Discuss the proposed opportunity with your faculty member, as this must happen in order to complete the Final Project.

Directions

Your final report should be 7-10 pages in length. Be sure the report is in MS Word, using APA format, Times New Roman 12-pt font, with double spacing. The paper will be due the Tuesday of Week 8 by midnight.

In a 7-10 page paper, describe the community forum activity by addressing the following:

Describe the organization, its mission, and the purpose of the meeting

Summarize the leadership styles within the group

What key issues did the group address?

If you were to form a coalition around this issue, who would you include and why?
