Combine today’s profit with tomorrow’s bottom line: how global bridgers can contribute to successfull business in EMC through innovation and new hybrid forms of value”

A research based on real cases, to demonstrate how business can be a powerful player for social progress. Multinational Enterprises and Corporations could not only open new markets in Emerging Countries (EMC), but through the sharing value’s economy, increase their profitability and positively impact on people’s lives. One of the main problem to be addressed in this scenario is purely cultural: the Companies shall focus on the right cultural approach to make the model work and being profitable. This model, in order to be applied, needs a corporate culture trasformation, including a new kind of managers called global “bridgers”, able to operate in differents culture, analyzing local needs and preferences, come up with innovations in EMC and bring home great and tested ideas (reverse innovation), that are integrated into their Companies: new hybrid forms of value. This emerging profession needs to be enhanced by proper training on the opportunities connected with working at the bottom of the pyramid, in the framework of triple bottom line. One of the main problem to be addressed in this scenario is purely cultural: the Companies shall focus on the right cultural approach to make the model work and being profitable.
