For your advertisement response essay, you should start off with an introduction that provides a short description and perhaps background information about the advertisement you’re rewriting. Then you’ll end that introduction with a thesis that makes an original claim about what the advertisement says about its culture. In the body of your essay, you should point to evidence in the text and in the image of the advertisement that help prove your thesis. You may choose to examine positive and/or negative aspects of the advertisement, depending on your argument. You’ll end with a brief conclusion in which you restate your thesis and give your fin al thoughts.
