Your assignment is to write an analysis of the short story, “Cask of Amontillado” discussing Montresor as an unreliable narrator. An analysis is an interpretation. Avoid merely summarizing a story. Assume your readers have read the story, but give a 2-3 sentence synopsis in the introductory paragraph to orient the reader. You must have a thesis at the end of the first paragraph. The thesis is your interpretation. You will then prove your interpretation through examples and quotations.
