Heres what my professor said: Viewing the documentary and giving reflection on the three principal pilgrims feature: Click on the link (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWhPSk5pfHg), and the documentary should automatically start. Take some notes. Please pay lots of attention to how pilgrims going on Hajj begin to prepare for this major ritual event, and then the main activities that take place on Hajj, including how these rituals are viewed in terms of meaning for Muslims. But take particular notice of the three principal people of focus: their backgrounds, their cultural underpinnings, and their distinct challenges. What do each of these have to deal with in their pursuit of pilgrimage? How do they deal with some perhaps less than positive occurrences? How do they come through Hajj with significant positives?
In your reflection, you do not need to summarize the rituals of Hajj, just refer to them in terms of how the three pilgrims go through the activities. Reflect on whether there seem to be a few contradictions in terms of class difference, individual income, etc. What about attitudes toward people of different nationalities or cultures? What about gender challenges? Please break down your reflection into focusing on the three individuals, maybe beginning with an overall introduction, then going into the specifics of each of these three individuals. Perhaps you can finish with a short general conclusion.
The documentary lasts for just under an hour. You should probably plan to write somewhere around 750 words or more, but I am more interested in your ideas and perspectives than in strict number of words.
