What is entropy?Explain.

Chapters 3 and 4 of the text discuss energy, heat, and energy conversion! For the Week2 Assignment: Address each of the questions below. In your document include the question number and question statement immediately before your response. Each question response should be a paragraph (50 word minimum/response) to fully address the topics. Be sure to use in-text citations and a reference list on assignments.

What is the difference between energy and power? What is a unit of power? How does speed relate to power?

What is entropy? Give an example of a situation entropy increases. Also, discuss changes in energy from potential to kinetic; from kinetic to potential.

Let’s say you’re consuming 2000 calories per day, which is maintaining your current weight. However, you want to lose some weight. (It takes 3500 calories to = 1 pound of fat.) You decide to eat 1 less large fry or 1 less dessert each day, saving 500 calories/day.

a. At this level, how long would it take to lose 10 pounds?

b. Now, let’s look at the same situation but you add a 20 minute walk each day (which burns 90 calories/day). How long would it take to lose 10 pounds?
