FINAL PROJECT ASSIGNMENT
As discussed in class, in lieu of a final exam, you will have a final project/paper
1. Pick a company which interests you, and which has faced an ethical dilemma in
the recent past (examples of such companies might include Enron or Arthur
Anderson, but you may choose any company).
2. Prepare and submit a typed paper regarding your chosen company detailing, at
a minimum, the following:
a. The history of the company, including the form of its organization, its size,
and the reason(s) you chose it for this assignment;
b. Details of the ethical issue(s) faced by the company, including how and
why the issue(s) arose;
c. Details of the company’s response to the issue(s), and the results of said
response, including details of any related litigation in which the company
became involved; and
d. Your analysis of the company’s response, to include other conceivably
viable options that might have yielded a different (better or worse) result.
3. Your paper must be typed using a 12 point font, single-spaced, and at least two full pages long.
4. All sources utilized/referenced must be appropriately and accurately cited.
