From the sermon on the mountain Matthew 5-7 and Luke 6:20-49, what do you think Jesus is asking of his followers?

Read “The Sermon on the Mount,” found in Matthew 5-7 and Luke 6:20-49, which are relatively parallel accounts. What do you think Jesus is asking of his followers? Imagine that you were trying to live according to what Jesus says in these passages. How would you have to live your life and what changes, if any, would you have to make? Are there things that you do or believe in with which Jesus would disagree?
