Financial Debt. Go to the US Debt Clock www.debtclockorg to see the dizzying array of real-time estimates of debt. This website was created by an individual who wanted to alert people to the amount of debt in the US. On the upper right hand side, you will see an icon that reads Debt Clock Time Machine. Click on the icon and go back in time to the year 2000. Compare the figures from 2000 to those of todays date for the following:
US GDP
Credit Card Debt
Personal debt per citizen
US population
US National debt
Debt per citizen
Unemployment figures
Discuss the differences. Which number revealed the greater difference? Why?
