For our larger project, we will address the issue of entrepreneurial efforts; writing a proposal for a business idea that will persuade a yet unnamed source to fund our endeavor.
Using the same rhetoric of persuasion we have developed this far, we will assemble a four part proposal. Each of the sections will advance our project. Understanding that our audience wishes to grant $100,000 in seed money to the best concepts and execution, we will write the following:
1. Our background and interests. Why should YOU be the person to implement this idea?
2. A description of our business idea. Can we present our concept so the reader can effectively visualize what the project will look like?
3. An implementation plan. How will we reassure our funder that we can in fact take our idea from concept to execution?
4. A measurement of success. How will we know that our project is successful? Obviously the bottom line would best show a profit, but are there other areas we can look to for success?
We will complete this project in stages. All sections will be graded, and then a final project and a possibly class presentation will wrap up the exercise.
