Provide physiological reason for dissatisfaction

1. You are trying to find a restaurant to take your great grandmother for Mother’s Day. You have taken her to several places in town, but she is rarely satisfied with the food she is served, complaining that the food lacks flavor.
Could there be a physiological reason for her dissatisfaction? Relate this to two special sensory pathways and explain specifically what the problem could be in each.
If she is taking a drug that inhibits the parasympathetic division of the ANS, could this affect her gustatory capabilities? Explain why.
2. Your patient is very distressed. Throughout the day, she feels as if she is moving, even when she is sitting still. She can’t bend down to pick up anything without feeling “like the room is spinning.” What is the name of this condition?
