Important genetic based question

Question: A curious genetics student has decided to simulate Mendel’s pea plant experiment with another plant. Conveniently, there was a strain available for short and tall plants. The short plants had an average height of 2 inches. The tall plants had an average of 14 inches. The F1 generation had an average height of 8 inches, as the student predicted. However for the F2, the plants had heights varying from 2 inches to 14 inches in discrete 1-inch intervals (2,3,4, etc.). The student counted 4096 plants and found that the distribution was normal. Predict how many plants were in each size class and how many loci regulate this trait.
