Define the hydrophobic and lipid portion

A receptor protein on the outside of a cell is embedded in the hydrophobic, lipid portion of the cell membrane. Once the protein is folded in to its biologically functional structure, what type of amino acid side chain is most likely to be interacting with the membrane?
