Below is a scenario based on some concepts related to
marketing research and marketing planning. The student
is expected to carefully read the situation described and
answer all aspects of the scenario in light of knowledge
gained in the classroom on the related topics studied in
chapter 5.
Assignment Task/Description
Assume you are an entrepreneur and are currently conducting your annual business review, you
are eager to know what your customers think of your small enterprise.
1. What methods would you consider using in order to obtain your customer intelligence, list
and explain at least two? (In order to continue with the next question use customer
research survey method’ as one of the techniques) (LO4, Assessment criteria 4.1)
2. Design a customer satisfaction survey’ to demonstrate if it can be an effective tool for
assessing customer response. (LO4, Assessment criteria 4.2)
3. Float the survey questionnaire and analyse the results to reveal if it was an effective
technique in obtaining the required feedback from the customers. (LO4, Assessment
criteria 4.3)
