White Supremacist Organizing in the Inland Empire.

Overall assignment:
Document state brutality, alleged and proven, in Riverside, Pomona, Fontana-Rancho Cucamonga, Claremont, and more broadly the Inland Empire. The named places have gained national notoriety for state killings of people of color, white supremacist organizing, and various forms of state violence (i.e., police checkpoints, curfews for minors and truancy policing, harassment of youth of color and the working class).
Focus on pulling together all the information you can find on current Minutemen or Ku Klux Klan activity in the region. The Klan were the ones, it’s said, who came up with the name Inland Empire. Recent news sources have been reporting a tremendous escalation in rightwing extremist activity nationally; perhaps Klanwatch, a watchdog group, would have information on local activities. Also research information on researching the local congressman, who happens to be one of the most rightwing politicians in the USA, despite the largely working-class population of this region. Analyse how his actions also fit into the framework of white supremacy.
Some resources that could be used:
Daily Bulletin, Riverside papers, or San Bernadino papers.
