The bulk of the paper should compare and contrast these events, discussing which represent

critical turning points for rock history and ways that the theme develops over time. Think about

summarizing a long story — you need to include key events and explain why they are important

without wasting time on details.

Finish the body of the paper by explaining why your comparison illuminates key aspects of the

theme. This is a chance to offer an opinion — but your opinion must be supported by facts and

evidence you have presented in the body of the paper.

Conclude your paper with a summation of your arguments and restatement of your thesis.
