As a Chinese, I am always proud of the Great Wall, but everything have changed since I read the book named“The Great Wall:China Against The World 1000 BC- AD 2000” written by Julia Lovell, on which it states that the building of the Great Wall costs too much and it has finally been proved useless. Also the Great Wall closed the door between Old China and the world (Julia Lovell). I was firstly shocked while reading this, but I finally realized that it is a clashing of culture. So what can we do to help increase the understanding between these two cultures? One of my suggestions is to encourage tourism between countries.
