Innate ambition and the quest for power have lead to the downfall of many powerful men; whether in actual life, fiction, or in cinema. It was true in the early 1600’s, remains with us today, and will undoubtedly persist forever. Shakespeare’s tragedy of Macbeth exemplifies this theme in many modern day works of literature and media; especially in the movie Lion King.Discuss
