Assignment 1 for undergraduate students

This assignment is in two parts, which should be integrated but need not be presented separately.
Make sure you give appropriate weightage to the different elements.
Select ANY ONE ethnic minority community in Britain and examine, within the wider context of British immigration history since the 19th century, to what extent and how this particular group has experienced:

1. major elements of the British immigration system at the specific time or times of their migration;
2. specific targeting by the law as a migrant group (or the absence of any targeting)

and

analyse in detail when, to what extent and how specific legal issues have arisen with regard to that particular group in terms of

EITHER
3. defining this group as an ethnic minority

OR
4. in relation to family law issues.
