our topic may be motivated by personal interest, by your role in your current institution or by a need for change you see in an institution of higher education that is of particular interest to you.

You are asked to submit a 12-15 page(double spaced)research paper on a topic clearly related to the focus of this course and one of the themes, using APA 5th style for references. If you are unsure whether your topic is appropriate for this course, please send me a brief outline of your interests via an email. When evaluating this research paper, I will be considering the following:

1. Overall presentation; Clarity, coherence and flow.
2. Grammar, spelling, sentence and paragraph structure
3. Providing ‘voice’ to appropriate and varied literature sources
4. Evidence of critical, reflective thought
5. Impeccable and consistent form and style, referencing format [APA]
6. Synthesis of ideas around your selected theme, related to course materials, leading to conclusions that will be useful to your readers (other scholars of higher education leadership).
7. Identifying specific research questions or lines of inquiry implied by the findings of your research
