Literature Review = 450 words. Within a broader discussion of the content and purpose(s) of each of your secondary sources, establish what your perspective will be adding to scholarship on your topic. Be sure to clarify where you are summarizing, critiquing, expanding upon, and/or departing from existing scholarship, and to integrate your (new, unique) ideas within an existing body of knowledge.
Annotated Bibliography = 50 word descriptions per source. At least 5 peer reviewed (academic journal article or academic book) secondary sources required, plus all primary and popular/public sources that you plan to use so far. Academic secondary sources should generally be drawn from the past 15 years, unless there is an overwhelming reason to include a more dated source (it is extremely established as the go-to source for your topic, for instance).
