Essay 1: Provide the definition, history, goals, and benefits of studying rhetoric; be sure to include a discussion of the rhetorical triangle.

Essay 2: Discuss how kairos and stasis support the study of rhetoric; be sure to include a discussion of The Four Questions.

Essay 3: Provide the definition, goals, purposes , and benefits of critical thinking; be sure to detail how assumptions and stereotyping affect critical thinking.

Essay 4: Provide a definition of plagiarism and discuss why it is a grave academic offense; detail how to avoid patchwriting and plagiarism, focusing on following MLA guidelines.

Essay 5: Provide a definition of logic and discuss the benefits of studying logic in relation to rhetoric; be certain to discuss syllogisms, truth value, validity, and soundness and explain how they relate to a well-executed rhetorical argument.
