Why are there such few women artists in the history of modern art until the 1960s? Women have constantly been the
objects to be depicted and imagined by the male artists rather than being the subject of representation. Discuss one or
multiple cases of women artists being lost in history, and/or problematic cases of women being objectified, and/or the
context of their emergence after the 1960s.
