Film Genres Investigate one of the following films; “ Halloween (1978) “ Stagecoach (1939) “ The Maltese Falcon (1941) or Double Indemnity (1944) “ Psycho (1960) “ Star Wars (1977) Each of these films is believed to mark the beginning of a style or genre (except Double Indemnity, which is included because it marks a distinct change in film noir). Explain how this film changed cinema, how did it alter the filmmaking both in its own country and worldwide. The film or topic must be checked with me prior to March 12. The purpose for my checking the topic is to assure that the resources are available for this assignment. Any student that requires either assistance in choosing a topic or in finding resources may come and see me during my office hours or email me.
