Research Paper Formulate a research question based on the argument listed below and write a short research paper. (5-8 pages long, single spaced)1 Your research paper should present a critical [and comprehensive] evaluation of the FED’s actions/policies during and right after the recession: The Federal Reserve was effective/successful in its management of the ˜Great Recession’. There are a few restrictions imposed on the style and presentation of your paper. See below! Your job is to give a definitive answer (Yes, the Federal Reserve was successful or No, it was not!) and ..defend/explain/justify your position by providing scientific and/or statistical evidence. Understand that this is both an argumentative and evaluative research paper. You have to critically evaluate Federal Reserve policies designed to fix the economy and explain why [and how] they were effective. If your evaluation is negative, document the reasons behind your stance. Your argument (Yes or No!) should be based on your evaluation. Remember that this is an independent research paper. As such, you’re required to identify and locate references/sources to support your argument. You can use published articles, credible websites, datasets, and/or textbooks. Failure to do so will result in point deduction. (A good research paper is the one that utterly convinces the audience.) The very last page of your paper should be reserved for ˜works cited’. I want to see every single reference used or mentioned in your essay. You can pick the referencing style you want. As long as I can identify the references, all styles will do. Please understand that your work will not be accepted without a proper ˜works cited’ page. All research papers must meet the following requirements: 1. A minimum of five (5) single-spaced pages “ works cited and abstract not included. 2. A formal, readable font (size 12) that stays consistent throughout the paper. 3. An abstract “ should be no longer than a single page. 4. A proper paper organization that starts with an introduction and ends with a conclusion. (It would help greatly if you could bring me an outline before starting.) 5. A ˜works cited/references’ page at the very end. You can use academic, official, and actual references. (If you need any help with referencing, let me know¦I can provide documentation and guides.) 1 If you want, you can write longer. The numbers given by me are simple benchmarks to guide you “ nothing else. All data, references, charts and graphs are counted towards the five page minimum. The abstract page and the references are not to be counted.
