Egyptian Artifacts, Structures, and Images

Egyptian Artifacts, Structures, and Images Nefertiti One of the amazing images or portraits in this chapter is the image of Queen Nefertiti. The image appears in a life-size portrait recorded in ca. 1348-1336 B.C.E. The portrait is carved of limestone prior to integration of admirable paint with the eyes inlaid with roc crystal (Bearden 2). The image characterizes more informal, as well as relaxed style of Akhenaten’s reign (Bukvic & John 16). The image is valuable in understanding history of the ancient Egypt with reference to the different reigns and cultural approaches. In the modern context, the image relates to the queens and first ladies in relation to diverse government institutions. One of the major similarities between the Nefertiti image and the modern structures or images is the grace concerning the position of the individual within the society. The image is an illustration of royalty, hence the need for the individuals in such positions to act with humility while leading with appropriate traits and characteristics. Nevertheless, the mode of dressing in the image and modern elements is different.
