In this regard, the WTO notes that It has been widely recognized by both environmental and trade policy-makers that multilateral solutions to transboundary environmental problems, whether regional or global, are preferable to unilateral solutions are preferable to unilateral solutions. How is this reflected in WTO jurisprudence and do the rules of the WTO foster or hinder the enforcement and/or implementation of MEAs?
