You can tell the Spelling and Grammar features at work when you notice wavy red lines under the misspelled word or a green wavy line beneath the word whose grammar is in question (Matthews & Matthews, 2007). It has an option of turning it on and off. You can run the features using an array of options. An again you can tell windows to run the checks after you finish the documents. Benefits In Microsoft Word Spelling and Grammar features ensures that the documents do not go out without proper English and grammar. When someone is typing a typographical or grammatical error is detected a red squiggly line will be placed under the word or punctuation mark. Drawbacks On the other hand when working in different language rather than English or say Latin or Spanish this feature is not always accurate. Also correctly spelled names cannot be recognized by the internal dictionary or even detect if a number is accidentally typed in a word (Matthews & Matthews, 2007). And for this reason you have to re-read our work before sending it which at times can be very tiresome.
