Assignment Requirements

Your presentation should include
(1) brief background information of the people/culture (history, issues the people face, etc.)
(2) examples of how the people/culture is presented in the books
(3) quality of the books examined
(4) strong/apparent themes in the books examined
(5) books that you recommend and why;
(6) teaching ideas; and, if you wish,
(7) noted authors;
(8) awards designated for this body of literature
(9) recommended internet resources
d. MAKE SURE to prepare at least a one-page handout for the class that includes important information and resources about the people/culture.
