Who are the powerful people in the society depicted in the text? Who are the powerless people? Are they depicted with equal attention?

you need to write ( 2 pages ) responding to any aspect of the texts you see in attachment. You may choose a plot development in the work and relate it to an acquaintance or a personal experience of your own. You may choose some aspect that upsets you and explain why. You may choose some aspect that inspires you and explain why. You may choose one of the men or women from the text and explore his or her character and personality, or you could compare and contrast two characters. On days when we are assigned two readings, you could also compare and contrast those two works. The possibilities are endless as long as your topic pertains to the theme of the course: class identity and class conflict. You might consider the following possibilities when writing a reader-response paper:
Who are the powerful people in the society depicted in the text? Who are the powerless people? Are they depicted with equal attention?
Why do the powerful have that power? Why is it denied to others?
Do you find evidence of class conflict and struggle?
Do you find repression and manipulation of workers by the wealthy in the literary work?
Does the society depicted value things for their usefulness, for their potential for resale or trade, or for their power to convey social status?
Does this text make you aware of your own acceptance of any social, economic, or political practices that involve control or oppression of others?
