“The Internet” Please respond to the following:

•IPv6 is an updated version of IPv4 that has been around for a number of years. From the first e-Activity, examine the major difficulties that users have encountered throughout IPv6’s widespread acceptance and implementation. Recommend two (2) possible solutions for the difficulties that users have encountered in IPv6’s widespread implementation. Justify your response.

•From the second e-Activity, examine the major pros and cons of a DSL and a cable Internet connection. Compare DSL and cable Internet connections based on availability, consistent high speed, reliability, security, and price. Determine the Internet connection you prefer. Provide a rationale for your response.

•Use the Internet to research the major reasons why some users avoid implementing and using Windows 8. Additionally, research whether or not Microsoft has taken any steps to alleviate any of these concerns. Be prepared to discuss.

•Use the Internet to research three (3) types of user interfaces available today. Be prepared to discuss the various interfaces, the advantages and disadvantages of each to an end user as well as a systems developer, and which one (1) you would prefer.

Operating Systems” Please respond to the following:

•From the first e-Activity, examine two (2) of the most common reasons that some users are avoiding Windows 8. Determine whether Microsoft has taken any steps to address these user concerns and, provide at least one (1) example if they have taken action. If Microsoft has not taken any steps to address these user concerns, recommend at least (1) course of action they could take in order to address the concerns. Justify your response.

•From the second e-Activity, examine the ease of use and the pros and cons of three (3) types of user interfaces available to the user today. Determine the user interface which is the most efficient and user friendly. Provide a rationale for your response.

•Use the Internet to research the storage and retrieval techniques of two (2) search engine organizations. Focus on storage efficiency, speed, and accuracy. Be prepared to discuss.

•Use the Internet to research Windows’ and Unix’s file management systems efficiency and ease of use. Be prepared to discuss.

•From the first e-Activity, evaluate the efficiency, speed, and accuracy of the storage and retrieval techniques that two (2) search engine organizations currently use. Imagine that the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of a new search engine organization has asked your opinion on which storage and retrieval technique he / she should use for his / her company. Suggest the key storage and retrieval techniques he / she should incorporate. Provide a rationale for your response.

•From the second e-Activity, evaluate the ease of use and efficiency of using both Windows and Unix file management systems. Of the two file management systems, determine the one that is more efficient and has a better user interface. Provide a rationale for your response.
