August 5, 2017Project managers must find the best resources to complete their IS/IT projects, and often times, the best technical personnel can be found in other organisations. Many companies outsource (that is, contract an outside organisation to produce work or services) some of their IS/IT projects to companies outside of their own organisation and even outside of their own country.
In this Discussion, you will critically evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of outsourcing IS/IT projects.
To complete this Discussion:
1- Critically analyse the experience and lessons you learned in the management of an IS/IT project that your organisation (or an organisation with which you are familiar) has outsourced.
2- In your analysis, identify and explain the advantages and disadvantages of the in-house and outsourced options considered for this IS/IT project.
