Question 1

Many times in literature, the first line is critical to the unfolding themes and ideas within the text.  Critics have seen this especially true with Hamlet’s opening line, “Who’s there?”  Describe at least one way that you see this line contributing to a theme in the text. Be specific and use specific examples.
