This 10 pages paper should describe and analyze the work of a chosen artist, situating it historically and emphasizing its aesthetic characteristics.
The chosen artist is Cildo Meireles
Ideally, you will choose from one to three artworks to focus your analysis on, but you can also develop a more general retrospect about the life and ideas of the artist, using some artworks to

illustrate your argument (You should include in your text images of the artworks you analyze, followed by title, year and material).

Your paper MUST present in the initial paragraph a clear thesis that you will develop throughout the text. This thesis should include an original impression or interpretation of the artists work,

which means it should be your own intellectual response to the artist you are studying.
This is a research paper, so you should work with a minimum of 5 bibliographical references to support and/or discuss your argument. Please use the Chicago Style for formatting your text

(inadequate format will be penalized).

Artist:  Cildo Meireles
First paragraph: (Please perfect this paragraph and use it as the first paragraph of the paper)

Cildo Meireles, he is famous for his conceptuals, installations and sculptor. He was born in Rio de Janeiro Brazil in 1948. Since the 1964’s military coup. He joined the political art, and this

element of the art incorporated in his artistic works. In audience’s opinion, his artistic works are using the large room space and dense to express the artist’s opinion, also Cildo Meireles

encourages the audiences’ interaction. By using this approach, he can express his idea in artistic work completely. In this article, we are going to discusses the three of the Cildo Meireles’s most

famous artistic works, the Coca-Cola bottles project ,Banknote Project and the Red shift. As coca-Cola is the symbol of daily item social circulation, the artist Cildo Meireles used the short

sentence, word and pictures on coca-Cola’s bottle to express his critical opinions. He printed his critical opinions by white letter, with the black brown liquid in the bottle goes decrease, the

letter can barely see. However, after recycling and refilling by the Coca-Cola factories. The white letter on the Coca-Cola’s bottle becomes clearly again. And the Banknote Project has the same

approach to express Cildo Meireles’s opinion, but the medium changes to currency instead of Coca-Cola’s bottle. Cildo Meireles want to use this approach to expressing his own political opinion

and hope and against the Newspaper, TV station, and other media who were controled by the government. Both the Coca-Cola bottle and currency are daily item in social circulation. In

conclusion, in the article, i want to discuses necessity of political art,  Cildo Meireles use the perfect art to express his political appeal. . And that is the art’s true essence.

Outline
First paragraph: Introduce the artist Cildo Meireles and tell the audience the topic:  the perfect combinations of real world and fantasy world, the art and political in Cildo Meireles’s artistical

works. This will about one page.

Second part: Describe the detail of the Cildo Meireles’s work Coca-Cola bottles project.

Third part:Describe the detail of the Cildo Meireles’s work Banknote Project, including the art opinion, and the political opinion.

Fourth part: Describe the detail of the Cildo Meireles’s work Red shift. This artistical work is a little different from the two above, Banknote Project and Coca-Cola bottles project. Cildo

Meireles used a different approach to express his opinion: the audiences’ interaction.

This three paragraph will cost 6 pages.

Fifth part: do people in the world really need political art? The answer is yes. Art is a approach to express people’s thinking, hope and Criticism. Art is not only for the nobility’s enjoyment.  In

Cildo Meireles’s work, there is a perfect combanation of political and art in his work.we can clearly notice that he wants to use art to tell Brazilian their life can be better.(2 pages)

From Cildo Meireles’s work, we can find out sometimes political art is really nesses ary. It is a good approach to use the conceptuals art to tell the world about the their Brazilian’s political

appeal. And that is the art’s true essence.
