Inspiring Artwork

In Week 1: Assignment 2 you described the work and design philosophy of an artist who inspired you. In this final assignment, you will analyze and research one

inspiring artwork in depth using the descriptive and analytical skills and vocabulary you learned in this course.

To begin, choose what you consider an exceptional artwork: one that inspires and motivates you because of its craft, originality, and/or vision. Select an artwork you

have not discussed in an assignment this session.

Then explain why this artwork is exceptional. Describe its style and subject using terms from the Elements of Art and Principles of Design. Also describe how this

artwork might represent your own design approach or aesthetic philosophy.

Use in-text citations in the main body of the assignment and list your references in a Works Cited section at the end, formatting them according to MLA style.
