Research Design

Describe the qualitative design (for example grounded theory) and research model (for example Strauss and Corbin or Charmaz constructivist grounded theory) you propose to use, supported and referenced by primary sources. Describe in detail the method(s) will you use to collect the data, such as: structured, unstructured, and semi-structured interviews, journaling, letters, pictures, observations, field notes, focus groups. Describe the philosophy underlying the methodology and model.

Briefly describe how the study will be conducted.  (Describe how you are going to carry out the study.)

The Research Design should be clearly identified.
The Research Design should be appropriate to the Research Question.

*Use primary sources as resources to support statements. must have at least 7 references to support your work. ALL references must be within 5 to 7 years (2014-2020)

Use APA style in citing all resources.

I attached a copy of the directions in full to this assignment. Please read the directions carefully. You will only complete paragraphs 1 and 2. The explanation of the epistemological, ontological, and axiological philosophical assumptions and rationale for the specific research design or approach. Please use the attached intitled Section4 Tips to complete this assignment.

(I also attached an outline of my research so you know what the research is about).

Instructions:

The first paragraph will provide an explanation of the
epistemological, ontological, and axiological philosophical
assumptions that support the research methodology.

This section is about the assumptions of qualitative research not your topic. The ontological assumption refers to the nature of reality;

qualitative researchers assume that there are multiple realities. The epistemological assumption is about the nature of acquiring knowledge; qualitative researchers assume that knowledge
is acquired by understanding the process. The axiological assumption is about the role of values in research; the axiological assumption is that the researcher does have unique values and it is worthwhile to learn about participants’ values. For example: (Section 4.1, paragraph 1)
Qualitative research makes certain assumptions about the nature of reality, knowledge, and values. The epistemological assumptions of qualitative research are.The ontological assumptions are The axiological assumptions are

This website (especially the chart at the bottom) explains the assumptions clearly: you can’t cite it, but it can help you understand what you’re reading. Here’s the link: http://campustools.capella.edu/BBCourse_Production/PhD_

first paragraph:  provide an explanation of the epistemological, ontological, and axiological philosophical
assumptions that support the research methodology:

1. The ontological assumption ( provide an explanation, support your explanation with current articles)
2. The epistemological assumption ( provide an explanation, support your explanation with current articles)
3. The axiological assumption( provide an explanation, support your explanation with current articles)

Here is some information you can use about my topic:

Generic qualitative research is defined as a research method that explores how people report their perspectives, opinions, reflections, and beliefs about particular experiences they have gone through, as implicated by things or people other than them; things of the outer world (Percy, Kostere, & Kostere, 2015, 78). The particular definition of generic qualitative research alludes that the design is applicable in instances that first, the data is based on subjective experience in that the respondents give information based on their understanding of an experience and secondly, in instances where the phenomenon under discussion is external (Kennedy, 2016).

The second paragraph will provide a rationale for the specific research design or approach. Then explain how the particular design is best suited to answer the research question guiding this study.

This section has you explain why you chose your methodology and approach over other options. For example, why did you choose generic qualitative inquiry instead of phenomenology?
Why did you choose qualitative methods instead of quantitative?

Here is information you will use (This is what my research topic is about:

The research topic on understanding the experience of reintegration of women with felony histories after incarceration for drug-related offenses will be based on a generic qualitative research design. the research question guiding this study: How do women with drug-related felony histories experience reintegration after incarceration?

third paragraph: DO NOT DO this paragraph I will complete this

The third paragraph will briefly describe how the study will be conducted and include brief statements about sampling, data collection, and data analysis. Later sections of the research plan will address details about these areas.
