The messiah is regarded as a spiritual saviour or a liberator of a large group of people. The people are usually from a certain religion or share a common belief. The researcher of this term paper seeks to find the meaning according to the Hebrew bible, New Testament, and Quran. Each of these scripts belongs to particular groups of people or religion. The Hebrew bible belongs to the Hebrews whilst the New Testament is read by the Christians. The Quran belongs to the Muslims and teaches about Islam. Although the messiah is a common figure, these three religions do not share the same definition of the messiah or his ideals. The research study will investigate the meaning of the messiah in the Hebrew Bible, New Testament, and Quran and compare with the ideas of interviewed people. Objective The objective of this study is to find the true meaning of the messiah according to the Hebrew bible, the New Testament, and the Quran. The idea of the messiah is widely accepted by a significant percentage of the mass consciences. These three religions strongly believe in the existence of the messiah who fulfills prophecies. The study will also explain why the messiah is perceived differently by the three religions. Proposed Research Methodology This study will utilize efficient modes of data collection because the researcher intends to cover the same topic in three distinct religions. The study will focus attention on the meaning of the messiah as described in the Hebrew bible, New Testament, and Quran. Then 3 followers from each religion will be selected at random without discrimination to be interviewed. The following methods of research will be applied. 1. Thorough analysis of chapters written about the messiah in the three books; the Hebrew bible, the new testament and the Quran. 2. Interviews will be conducted from 3 people from each religion (Jewish, Christians, Muslim) to get data from each religion.
