Product Critique Lab

Choose a product that you find difficult/frustrating to use and given basic knowledge of human factors, provide a 1-2 page written critique of the product’s usability, providing improvement ideas (as I did with the Presto Hotdogger).

? Provide a picture and brief description of the product
? Ask yourself the following questions about the product in order to help generate thoughts:
• What is the primary function?
• Who are the target users?
• What do users need/want to accomplish?
• What tasks do users need to undertake to accomplish their goal?
• How does this product map to user needs?
• Are there aspects of the product that inhibit user experience?

? Analyze the effectiveness of this product and highlight gaps

? Brainstorm 3-5 opportunities for improved product features or new products
