The class will collectively document and analyze the lives of transnational families living in the City of Los Angeles and in municipalities in Usulutan, El Salvador, and indigenous communities in Oaxaca, Mexico. This class will be focused on the process of documenting and presenting the process of creating social enterprises to address major challenges of social inclusion at the local and global level. It will present a case study of a transnational ID-Debit Card and mobile banking social enterprise established to address specifically Los Angeles and its linkages to migrant-sending communities in Mexico and El Salvador.
