Distinguish Symptoms and Causes when Evaluating a Business Problem

In Week 1, you described a real world business problem(MASSIVE AUTOMOBILE RECALLS) . The company has an option. The company’s leadership can focus on delving into the root cause of the problem or just fixing the symptoms. In this paper, compare and contrast the symptoms of the problem discussed in Week 1. Hypothesize what the results would be if you focused on the symptoms rather than the problem. Discuss some alternatives to resolve the root cause, such as Six Sigma, lean Six Sigma, or the Malcolm Baldridge. Provide specific examples where applicable to support your paper.

Support your paper with a minimum of five (5) scholarly resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included.
