This is three separate case study. The summary (no more than one page, single-spaced, 14-pt Times New Roman) should focus on one of the case studies listed in the course schedule for that day, and should contain the following information: (i) brief description of the crisis, (ii) how the crisis was addressed by the UN Security Council (focus on a specific UN action), (iii) a description of the position of each of the five permanent members of the Council, and (iv) whether/how the crisis was eventually resolved.

Write a page for each of the folowing case studies:

2) Case Studies – Cross-Border Terrorism and Piracy: • Somali piracy, 2004-present
3) Case Studies – Genocide / State Violence against Civilians: • Rwanda, 1994
