Summary of Rhetorical Analysis Article

Objective(s)
The purpose of this assignment is to improve my summarizing skills—especially my ability to write a concise and accurate summary of an academic article.
Instructions
I will choose one of the articles below to analyze for my rhetorical analysis assignment and write two concise and accurate summaries of it. One summary will be a six to eight (6-8) sentence paragraph, and the other summary will be a one or two (1-2) sentence statement.
My summaries will describe the situation that the article is responding to and the purpose of the article. At the very least, I will introduce my source using the authors’ last names and the year of publication (according to APA style conventions). If I choose to include the article title in my summary, I will put the title in title case and within quotation marks, and I will make sure that the sentence(s) I use to identify the article is a complete sentence.
