October 6, 2020Discuss and compare the ways in which the primary characters in these novels rebel against the conditions of their lives, taking into consideration the different circumstances each character confronts, the nature of their internal conflicts, and how these conflicts manifest themselves in the texts (and in the worlds described therein).
Interested in creative, imaginative work that is firmly based in and engaged with the texts under discussion (this will not require any specialized knowledge beyond whats in these novels). When you use a quotation, you should note the precise page number on which it appears. You need not use any outside sources, as this is basically a response paper.
The two books are Reinaldo Arenass Singing from the Well and Jacques Stephen Alexiss In the Flicker of an Eyelid. ( I don’t have access to the books.)
