This is for an MBA Marketing class. The case must be read and œanalyzed (not summarized). I received only a œB on my last paper because the writer summarzed the case. That is NOT what we want to do. We must do the following: 1) identify the main issue/problem(s)¦ 2) provide alternative on how to slove the problems¦ 3) identify the solution we choose is best, and why¦. If we want to include a summary, it should be a short introduction, maybe one paragraph. Thats all. THE PAPER SHOULD BE WRITTEN FOR A PERSON WHO IS ALREADY FAMILIAR WITH THE CASE. SO WE ARE PROVIDING MARKETING SOLUTIONS. LASTLY, DO **NOT** USE ANY OUTSIDE REFERENCES OTHER THAN THE CASE-STUDY ATTACHED. We are not supposed to predict what will happen. Rather, provide marketing advice on the main problems and issues on the case. The last writer did not understand how to analyze a case, so I only received a B. And that was even after I did some revisions on my own. Also, please make sure to see the Questions to consider: 1. What changes are occurring in the toothbrush category? Assess Colgate-Palmolive’s competitive position. 2. How is the toothbrush market segmented? Compare consumer behavior for toothbrushes and toothpaste. 3. What are the arguments for launching Precision as (i) a niche product, and (ii) a mainstream brand? YOU MAY WANT TO ADDDRESS THESE IN THE INTRO, BUT DO NOT SPEND MUCH TIME ANSWERING THESE. 80% of the paper should be identifying the main problem/issue(s), recommending alternatives, and then choosing the best alternative and why.
