EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION INTERVIEW ASSIGNMENT GUIDELINES

Purpose of Assignment

The purpose of this Early Childhood Education Interview Assignment is to allow students in class to complete a Field-Based required expectation for this course, where students will work in pairs to develop a set of interview questions for two separate professional early childhood educators in the field of practice.

Grading for Assignment

Each Early Childhood Education Interview is worth a maximum of 8 points. Both interviews will result in a maximum of 16 points for students completing them.

Assignment Guidelines:

Students will be responsible for developing an interview containing 2 or 3 questions in each of the following areas – not to exceed 9 questions.
Experiences with Violence in the Educational Setting
Experiences with Family Violence with children under their care
Crisis: Planning and Implementation
Students will compose a paper that contains the following components:
Cover Page: Title of Assignment, Name of Students, Date of Submission
Interview Report: The interview report will include the title or position of the educator interviewed, location, date and time of the interview. The full interview report will incorporate essential understandings resulting from each interview question. (2 ½ – 3 ½ pgs)
Conclusion: Concluding paragraph will highlight two new insights learned from this interview experience.
Bibliography (Optional): If citations are included in the interview report, a bibliography must be included. (APA style is mandatory)
