PERSONAL ETHICS ACTION PLAN (PEAP)

PERSONAL ETHICS ACTION PLAN (PEAP)
The Personal Ethics Action Plan (PEAP) is a 6-8-page paper, which includes several parts (see below). It combines various things you have learned this semester into one document.

Content Requirements: The following should serve as a guide for the requirements of the PEAP. Your PEAP must contain all of the following:

1. Cover Sheet: A cover sheet designed to express your feelings about ethics and/or what you have learned in this class. Your cover can use a variety of visual aids, drawings or other multi-media to detail your feelings. Somewhere on the cover, please include the following:
a. course title and number
b. your name
c. semester

2. Mission/Goals: Include your Personal and/or Professional Mission Statement and Life Balance Goals (some students prefer to create separate personal and professional mission statements, some do not. The choice is yours).
a. Use the information from your PEDE assignment to complete this section.

3. Definitions: Based on the information you read in the course, your discussions, your opinions, research, etc., include your personal definition of the following terms: ethics, leadership, service and character. Share why you think these personal definitions are appropriate and make sure to include any resource you have been exposed to in this course that influenced you definition. Your definitions should at least four sentences long and in your own words.
a. Use the information from your PEDE assignment to complete this section.

 

4. Pressing Ethical Issue: In this section, you will write about an ethical issue in the workplace: DIVERSITY in the workforce.

a. Write at least two pages double-spaced.
b. Support your work with at least 2 citations/quotations from our text or other reliable source information.

5. Case Study Analysis: After carefully reading the case study provided, use the PISCO Model (see attachment for model description) to analyze the case and generate a recommended course of action. Don’t forget to use what you learned in the last case study.
a. Use headings to separate the sections of the PISCO.
b. Support your work with at least 3 citations/quotations from our text or other reliable source information.

6. Course Summary: Finally, write a summary discussing in what ways this course has impacted your thinking regarding ethics. Also, please write why this course has made very little or no difference in your thinking regarding ethics. Have fun with this part of the paper. Essentially, this is where you get to evaluate this course. Be honest, yet constructive! J

Format Requirements: The PEAP assignment is a written report/paper and should follow the format listed below:
1. The assignment should be 6-8 pages (estimated) in length and created using APA format (http://apastyle.apa.org/). Use APA to cite source material within the body of text and to develop your Reference page.

2. Use 1 inch margins, double-spaced text, 12-point font, and Times New Roman print

3. Use headings to separate sections of your paper (in accordance with APA format).
Feel free to give copies of your rough drafts to me prior to submission (at least 2 days prior). Writing is a process and peer editing is an integral part of that process. Make sure you have someone look over you paper before you turn it in. Go to the IUPUI Writing Center or TCM Writing Center Look at the Grading Rubric for additional help with this assignment. Use the TCM writing center for extra assistance if needed, they are located in the ET Building.

This assignment must be submitted to the Assignment section of Oncourse. No late submissions will be accepted!

automatically drop one letter grade. Papers missing both requirements will receive a failing grade.
